On November 27, 2024, CARF International announced that PCS had been issued accreditation based on a recent survey. This accreditation will extend through August 31, 2027. PCS has held this honor since 2018.
Founded in 1966, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF, is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcome of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
Carrie McDivitt, Director of Operations and Compliance Officer for PCS, stated “Achieving a 3-year CARF Accreditation is a demonstration of our dedication to continually improving our services to best meet the needs of our patients, families, and communities. CARF sets the quality bar very high, and we are all better for achieving it. I am very proud to be a part of this team and thankful to CARF for giving us a clear path to promote ongoing improvement and success for those we serve.”
PCS achieved the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization resulting in a 3-year renewal. The CARF Survey evaluated and measured PCS in over 1,500 standards which exhibits the organization’s substantial conformance to maintaining high quality care for service recipients.
“Through the CARF process, the PCS clinical team has learned and grown so much,” said Sara Hawkins, Clinical Director. “The CARF standards ensure that the services we provide to our clients and communities are of excellent quality and meet the highest standards. I am very proud of the hard work completed by our clinical team daily to ensure that we are providing person-centered, top-notch care. That level of superb care was evident to the CARF surveyors. Congratulations to PCS for obtaining another 3 years of accreditation!”
